LONDON BASED PROJECT MANAGER, SPECIALISING IN EVENTS AND MARKETING PROJECTS WITHIN THE CREATIVE AND TECH INDUSTRIES.
I began my career in events over eight years ago. I have come a long way from my first role as Promotions Assistant for an Alpine comedy festival and tried my hand at almost every role within events. Studying journalism at university, I developed my skills in copywriting and marketing and embarked on teaching myself graphic design.
I spent two years as an Account Manager at Original Sin Events where I was eventually responsible for planning and executing my own projects from concept through to creation, managing budgets, marketing, clients, production and all that's in between.
From here I embarked on my freelance career, diving head first into the world of festivals. Using my skills in events and event marketing I was able to move further into the world of marketing, developing brand and marketing strategies for the 2016 Snowboxx Festival. Moving from winter into summer, I found myself in a similar role at Wave Week Festival, planning the festival, marketing, and branding. Here I was able to develop my partnership management and business development skills.
In a complete change of industry, I moved into tech, an area of great interest, where I became Program Manager for an educational marketing initiative at Google, The Pioneer Programme. This gave me the chance to focus on my people and project management skills, developing and tracking the project and liaising with key partners in order to achieve our goal.
Throughout my career, I have continued to exercise my creativity with personal projects; contributing to creative collectives such as The Fashpack and Tropical Tea Party, creating logos and album covers for bands, and making costumes for events and festivals.
